“Quality over quantity is not just a saying for us — it’s the foundation of every Prīmī collection.”
Behind every Prīmī edition is a process that takes far more time and effort than what you see on release day.
For this upcoming sale, our journey began by scouting hundreds of horses across Europe. We reviewed videos, spoke with breeders and riders, visited stables, and evaluated many promising candidates. From that large pool, only a small number showed the characteristics we look for at Prīmī — rideability, mindset, quality of movement and jump, and the type of horse we believe can truly suit the hunter and jumper market.
From those hundreds of horses, we selected 15 to come to our filming days.
Filming took place over two very full days, where our team worked from early morning to evening to present each horse properly. But filming is also part of the evaluation process. Sometimes a horse that looks perfect on paper or in earlier rides simply doesn’t feel the same in our environment or under our program.
During those two days, three horses were eliminated. For different reasons, they simply did not fully meet our expectations. While they were good horses, we felt they did not represent the level or type we want to stand behind under the Prīmī name.
After filming, the next step was the veterinary process. Even though we carefully review existing x-rays beforehand, every horse must pass a full vet check according to our standards before being offered. This time, four horses did not pass our veterinary criteria.
That means that from the 15 horses we filmed, only a portion will ultimately be presented in this edition.
In the end, the collection may be smaller than some might expect — but this is exactly the point of Prīmī. We believe strongly in quality over quantity. Every horse that appears in the sale is one we stand behind with confidence, both from a sporting and veterinary perspective.
For us, it’s not about presenting the largest number of horses.
It’s about presenting the right ones.
We are very excited about the horses that made the final selection, and we truly believe they represent what Prīmī stands for: honest presentation, careful selection, and quality horses offered fairly.
